Poultry and livestock farm management software in Cameroon

Poultry farming is concentrated in the West region, around Bafoussam, Dschang and Mbouda, and around Yaoundé and Douala, the two big markets for chicken and eggs. The Adamawa plateau around Ngaoundéré is cattle country, and pig and fish farming are spread across the West, North-West, Centre and Littoral. Everywhere, the same question decides whether a farm survives: what did this batch cost, and what did it bring in?

Feed is the largest cost, and maize and soybean prices move with the seasons. Many farmers mix their own feed, sell on credit to market traders and lose track of mortality during a hard week. A notebook rarely gives the cost per bird, per tray of eggs or per kilo of pork in time to act.

The app runs on an Android phone and keeps working offline, so the farm hand enters feed, deaths and eggs in the house at feeding time and the data synchronises when the network returns. The owner, often living in town or abroad, sees each batch’s figures without calling the farm. Biosecurity matters too: diseases such as avian influenza and African swine fever have hit farms in the region, and a clear record of arrivals, movements, vaccinations and mortality helps you and your veterinarian react quickly. The software keeps the records; animal health decisions stay with your veterinarian.
