Opes Garage

Job cards, parts, mechanics and invoicing for garages and auto workshops

Request a demonstration

Ask a garage owner in Douala what a repair actually cost and the honest answer is usually an estimate. Parts came off the shelf without a note, a mechanic spent two days on a job quoted for one, and the customer paid what felt fair on the day.

Opes Garage puts a job card at the centre of every vehicle that comes through the gate. Parts, labour hours and sublet work all attach to that card, so the invoice writes itself and the margin on each job is a fact rather than a feeling.

What Opes Garage does

Job cards

Every vehicle gets a card: reported fault, diagnosis, authorised work, parts issued, hours booked and the mechanic responsible.

Parts issued against the job

Parts leave the store only against a job card. Stock, cost and the customer charge are recorded in the same movement.

Mechanic assignment and hours

Work is assigned by skill and availability, with hours booked to the job so productivity per mechanic is measurable.

Vehicle service history

Every visit, part and repair held against the registration. The next mechanic sees what was done last time and by whom.

Estimates and authorisation

The customer approves the estimate before work starts. Additional work needs a fresh authorisation, recorded against the card.

Service reminders

Next service due by date or mileage, with an SMS that brings the vehicle back instead of losing it to the garage down the road.

Who it is for

Independent garages, auto repair workshops, tyre and exhaust centres, dealership service departments, fleet workshops and motorcycle repair shops across Cameroon.

How it works

1

Vehicle received

Registration, customer, reported fault and current mileage captured. Existing vehicles pull up their full history immediately.

2

Diagnosis and estimate

The mechanic diagnoses, the estimate is built from parts and labour, and the customer authorises before any work begins.

3

Work carried out

Parts are issued against the card, hours are booked as they are worked, and sublet work is recorded with its supplier cost.

4

Invoice and collection

The card closes into an invoice with parts, labour and VAT. Payment by cash, MoMo or transfer, and the vehicle is released.

5

Follow-up

Next service is scheduled by date or mileage, and an SMS reminder brings the customer back at the right time.

Common questions

Can it tell me whether a job made money?

Yes. Each job card carries the cost of parts and the labour hours booked against the amount invoiced, so profit per job, per mechanic and per vehicle type is reported directly.

Does it track parts I buy in for a specific job?

Yes. Parts bought in for one repair are recorded against that job card with the supplier price, so the mark-up is visible and the part cannot drift into general stock.

Can customers see what work was authorised?

The estimate is issued to the customer for approval, and any additional work requires a second authorisation. Both are stored against the job, which settles disputes quickly.

Does it work for a fleet workshop?

Yes. Vehicles can be grouped under a fleet owner, with consolidated monthly invoicing and cost-per-vehicle reporting for the fleet manager.
