Opes Events

Ticket sales, scanning and gate control for events and venues

Request a demonstration

Two things go wrong at every ticketed event in Douala. The gate cannot tell a genuine ticket from a photocopy, and nobody knows how much money came in until long after everyone has gone home — by which point the difference between tickets printed, tickets sold and people admitted is impossible to resolve.

Opes Events closes the gate and the books at the same time. Tickets are sold by Mobile Money and delivered as a scannable code, each code admits exactly once, and the organiser watches sales and admissions as they happen.

What Opes Events does

Scannable tickets

Every ticket carries a unique code delivered by SMS or WhatsApp. It admits once; a second scan is refused with a reason.

Mobile Money sales

Buyers pay over MTN MoMo or Orange Money and receive their ticket immediately, without a physical ticket office.

Gate control

Multiple scanning points working in parallel, each showing ticket type and zone, so VIP and general entrances are enforced.

Live sales and admissions

Tickets sold, revenue taken and people admitted, updating as it happens, so capacity decisions are made on facts.

Ticket types and zones

General, VIP, table, early bird and complimentary, each with its own price, quantity and access zone.

Agent and reseller accounts

Tickets allocated to agents and resellers, with sales and settlement tracked per agent rather than reconstructed afterwards.

Who it is for

Concert and festival promoters, conference and convention organisers, stadiums and sports clubs, nightclubs running ticketed nights, and schools and churches running paid events.

How it works

1

Event configured

Date, venue, capacity, ticket types, prices, zones and any agent allocations set up before sales open.

2

Tickets sold

Buyers purchase online by Mobile Money, at an agent, or at the door. Each sale issues a unique scannable code immediately.

3

Gate opened

Scanners at each entrance validate codes. A used, cancelled or wrong-zone ticket is refused with a clear reason on screen.

4

Event monitored

The organiser watches admissions against sales in real time across every gate, so crowding and capacity are managed live.

5

Settlement

Revenue by ticket type, by channel and by agent is reconciled against admissions, and agent settlement is calculated from the record.

Common questions

Does the gate need internet to scan?

No. Scanners hold the valid ticket list and work offline, syncing between gates as connectivity allows, so a weak signal at the venue does not stop the queue.

Can someone use the same ticket twice?

No. Each code admits once. A second presentation is refused and shown as already used, with the time and gate of the first scan, which ends the argument on the spot.

Can I sell through agents and still control the money?

Yes. Agents receive an allocation and their sales are tracked individually, so settlement is calculated from the system record rather than negotiated after the event.

Can I sell tickets at the door as well?

Yes. Door sales are issued and scanned through the same system, so the final reconciliation covers online, agent and door sales together.
