PHARMIS

Pharmacy Information System

Request a demonstration

Pharmacy is where clinical risk and commercial loss meet. A wrong dispense harms a patient; an unnoticed expiry or an untracked issue quietly consumes margin.

PHARMIS handles dispensing against the prescription, tracks stock down to batch and expiry, and settles payment — including Mobile Money — at the counter.

What PHARMIS does

Dispensing against prescription

The prescription arrives electronically from the consultation, so the pharmacist reads a record rather than handwriting.

Batch and expiry control

Stock tracked by batch with expiry visibility, so short-dated stock is used or returned before it is written off.

Interaction and allergy checks

Warnings raised at the point of dispensing, against what the patient's record already shows.

Controlled substance register

Regulated products dispensed against an auditable register, with the records an inspection expects.

Mobile Money at the counter

MTN Mobile Money and Orange Money settlement posted directly against the sale, without manual reconciliation.

Reordering and suppliers

Reorder levels that reflect actual consumption, with purchase orders raised against your suppliers.

Who it is for

Hospital pharmacies, retail pharmacies and pharmacy chains operating multiple branches.

Common questions

Can we run it in a retail pharmacy that is not attached to a hospital?

Yes. PHARMIS works standalone for retail, with walk-in sales, insurance handling and its own stock and supplier management.

How does it handle a prescription written elsewhere?

External prescriptions are entered at the counter and dispensed against the same stock and safety checks. The workflow is faster when the prescription is electronic but does not depend on it.

Does it work offline?

Dispensing and sales continue during an outage and reconcile when connectivity returns. A pharmacy counter cannot stop because the internet has.

Can we see stock across several branches?

Yes. Multi-branch operators get consolidated stock visibility and inter-branch transfers, plus per-branch performance reporting.

Connected to the rest of the ecosystem

Every OPES system shares one patient identity through OPESCare, so a patient moving between departments or facilities keeps one record rather than accumulating several.
